The Plot
Inspired by true historical events, Breaking the Silence tells the story of Francesca (Grace Shen), who is finally coming to terms with being forced to work as a "comfort women" in the Pacific region during World War II by breaking her silence after forty years during an interview with Betty Park, a New York Times journalist (Rumi Oayma).
