10th Annual Bill Johnson Black Film Festival

African American Achievers Youth Corps, Inc. (AAAYC) is a not-for-profit organization founded to empower young, African-American males by uplifting them spiritually, mentally, physically, economically, and socially. Based on Christian principles, mentors  and counselors help members cope with behavioral issues by offering mentoring and counseling that encourages positive behaviors. AAAYC collaborates with donors and other nonprofit organizations to provide opportunities for business development and academic improvement to prepare its members for real-world issues.

We partner with over 12  community groups to sponsor the 10th Annual Bill Johnson Black Film Festival.  During the festival we screen feature, short films, and documentaries  produced by Black directors and/or producers or by others as long as the film has a Black theme.   We will have 2-3 screening just for students. Artistic personnel  will be quest  on area talk  shows.    Film makers will participate in discussions held at the end of  some of the film blocks..
