The New York Science Fiction Festival
This is the third New York Sci-FI festival with many of our programmers having worked at other sci-fi festivals around the
country including the famous Philip K Dick Festival, Boston Sci-Fi, and Outer Places.We are looking for solid science fiction and supernatural films that embody good storytelling excellent effects and entertaining narratives. All kinds of science fiction are welcome from adaptations of sci-fi writers; Asimov, Heinlein, Herbert
Bradbury to original pieces. From a serious exploration of dystopian worlds to screwball sci-fi comedies. We are big fans of horror sci-fi in the tradition of Predator or Terminator and futuristic space operas like Star Trek and Star Wars. We are looking for stories that enlighten, amuse and shed light on the human condition. Our festival will be a combination of screenings, panels, sci-fi retrospectives, and installations/exhibitions.
