RESIDIR

Experimental short film where, through a series of videos that house memories of the director herself, archival material and the use of film footage, the theory is raised that we all reside in three dimensions, the dream of reality, the dreams of the others and the place of our dreams, Based on this premise, we are witnesses of images coming from the memories of these three states, which illustrate the experiences, relationships and intimacies that the director perceives in most of her days. This short is a visual and reflective essay, a private and personal visit to memories and a way of seeking to represent the perception of existence.

Los deseos del presente y los recuerdos del pasado se conectan dando vida a este documental de ficción; que nace a partir de que la autora (Anna Karen Miranda) se encuentra, a modo de cápsula del tiempo, con el VHS de su cumpleaños número 5, del año 2000. Los 8.55 minutos que lo conforman, son su selección a manera de director’s cut, rescatando parte de su propio archivo, memorias, y tomando el papel de protagonista y directora en este film.

The Reversal

The past speaks to the present in this haunting animation of a photo archive documenting the reverse-engineering of an urban river at the turn of the nineteenth century.

Lui e io

“He and I” narrates the reflections of a woman in her role as wife and mother lived between imposition and choice. Through the filming of her husband who portrays her in Sicily and Sardinia, she reveals herself in opposition to his world, a militant always far from home. A reworking of female status as a political act to tell that love is an act of acceptance of differences and that personal memory is part of the collective history.

Le grand viveur

Mario Lorenzini was a working class man, a hiker, an hunter, a member of the italian Walser community, and an extraordinary amateur filmmaker. Through his home movies we see the seasons go by in his small village while a second point of view slowly emerges giving the spectator an interpretation of his world, his life and his sense of cinema.

DATA es un discurso re-apropiado, parafraseado, que se gesta a partir de textos de diversos autores, Lem, Fontcuberta, Benjamin, Sontag y Hume entre otros.  Imágenes que han sido recolectadas durante más de una década, filmadas, encontradas, usadas con y sin permiso construyen una corto que pregunta sobre el futuro de la memoria.
