Godspeed is a story about a mother saying goodbye to her son at the airport. The son wants a hug. Reserved, the mother refuses to reciprocate.

Godspeed is about loss and what the loss implies. The characters are not feeling sad because they're parting: they're feeling sad because they almost miss the chance to make peace. And those chances don't stay there forever. When things get tough, only then can we realize and understand the significance of what we've lost, what we've wasted, what we took for granted, and how we can make up to it if only time permits.
