#SheIsNotDoingGreat tells the story of an unsettling truth about female farmworkers in the Indian state of Maharashtra. Where women don’t get hired if they menstruate. As a result, they remove their uteruses to earn a livelihood. The victims of this life-threatening practice are in lakhs.
On Women's Day 2020, Healthians told the world this inconvenient story through a film.
The film was shot in a remote village near Nashik city, featuring real sugarcane workers. It went live on Healthians’ social pages and asked people to raise their voices against this practice by signing a petition.
Within 48 hours, it got over a million views, Those who saw it expressed horror and concern. To date, the cause has almost 1,700 supporters. But injustice still prevails.
