The Plot

A short Documentary made entirely from home:On 24th March 2020, India went into complete lockdown and with that were locked billions of people in their households waiting for this calamity to pass by.I am a freelance Cinematographer, and like millions of people my work keeps me out more than within the four walls. And when my most essential body part (which I claim is to be my camera) was asked to stay in with me, it became moody and grumpy. Not being able to go out, but with access to social media and editing studio?In such situation I asked people around the world to shoot where my camera could not reach, to film their lives under Lockdown and received 18 hours of footage from 11 countries which presents a time capsule for future generations to see what it was like to be alive during the Coronavirus pandemic of 2020.

Director Biography - Bishwajeet Pattnayak

Bishwajeet Pattnayak grew up in a small town of Raipur in Chhattisgarh, India, and moved to Bhubaneshwar at the age of 18 to attend film school. Upon graduation, Bishwajeet shifted to Mumbai to work in Bollywood. He landed as an intern in 'Super 30' starring Hrithik Roshan. After working as a crew member on several features and ad films, He returned back to Raipur during coronavirus pandemic and started working on this proect, Lockdown in a day. His main career goal is to direct as well cinematograph a feature film for a major production company.
