On the shallow, murky waters of Lake Erie, three struggling fisherman, (Ben, David, and Nick) hook a submerged dead body accompanied by a duffle bag full of cash. David wants to keep the money for themselves, but Ben is hesitant and fears that someone might come looking for them. Nick's swing vote convinces Ben that they should keep it, but he stresses that they must be careful. David's urgent need for the money causes a conflict in the group, but everything changes when a hitman comes looking for his money. This slow burning short film shows what can happen when greed takes over. Avarice is the second short film by writer/director Ryan Printy, and he teams up again with brother Sam Printy to compose the score. The film was shot entirely on location in Sandusky, OH, and stars a number of Sandusky natives.
