A third culture Ghanaian-American youth takes the taxi ride of his life in an attempt to catch a flight out of Accra leaving his country, ailing Grandfather, and deep rooted feelings of cultural displacement behind.

The 8th Annual Black Film Festival features over 80 films from 16 countries on October 6-11, 2021. We are proud to bring this amazing group of "Official Selections" to Baltimore City both in our Virtual Theatre and at the SNF Parkway Theatre in Baltimore's Station North Arts District. Glove

Glove is the true story of Richard Glover Jr., a 27 year old Veteran, who struggles with life after the Army.


The Acts of Life

Dontae is a young filmmaker who lacks confidence in his work, and while he tries to overcome his anxieties he is constantly reminded of the pressures of adulting.


Talk

The story follows a man in his 40's who on the outside has everything that anyone would want. A great job, nice car, perfect family. However, on the inside, it is a different story. The man has been dealing with trauma that has been plaguing him since a child. These are issues that have sat with him for years and now they have begun to bubble over. The man is at the breaking point and is now contemplating suicide.


The Color In Grief

Amiree Knight is a 20 year old African-American woman. During her therapy session with Dr. Melody Sims, Amiree must come to terms with why she is there.


Gifted

GIFTED is the story of, Nia, a hyper-empath, who wants nothing more than to be free from the pain that fills her days, but when her brother’s life is in danger, she must face the pain to save him.
