Sailing and long voyages to the great seas have marked the history of the City of Kong in the south of Iran for many years and created songs and chants rooted in the peoples’ veins, blood, and souls. Those chanteys have been the language of culture, originality, and identity of this city for centuries and are now considered an inseparable part of their lives.
A personal narrative documentary that follows its creator, Sohrab Kavir, as battling survivor’s guilt after the deaths of three of his brothers, he returns to Iran from the UK. Once there he embarks upon an epic quest to form a virtual football team made up of young sufferers of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, the same disease that took his brothers.
